American teacher, qualified to teach kindergarten to grade 8, qualified in ESL (for English language learners) 10 years experience working in UAE with Arabic speaking students - experience in UAE teaching English, math, science in grades 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 Specialized in supporting early literacy (reading and writing in English) grades kg through grade 5

Approach:

For grades KG through grade 8: I will meet with the student first time, see their level and discuss what parents would like tutoring to focus on. Then we make a specific plan from there. I can teach students lessons and practice with them in problem areas. I can help with school homework and test preparation. I am very serious about helping your student! We will try to make the lessons ACTIVE AND FUN, but we will not be wasting time! Depending on the grade level and focus of tutoring, I provide a lot of additional resources such as online practice materials, worksheets, and games. High school / college: I can assist in writing / editing essays and papers and other elements of coursework. I can use normal school books with students or I can provide additional materials at the parents request.
