Qualification:

History (BA) hons 2.1, Qualified Teacher Status (PGCE) from the University of Nottingham.

Experience:

I am a fully qualified History teacher; I have been teaching secondary school (11-18) History for seven years; three years in the United Kingdom and four years in the UAE. Additionally, I have tutored and celebrated the success of year 10 and 11 students for the last two years.  

Approach:

Students finish my lessons having learnt and recapped a vast array of knowledge and examination skills which are transferrable and applicable to their courses and end of year assessments/exams.   I always ensure my students develop critical thinking skills, effective and personalised revision strategies and memorisation techniques that are applicable across all subject areas for their current topics and further studies. Students have found these teaching methods extremely useful and supportive when they have advanced into college or university education.
