Rebecca is a playwright and screenwriter based in Dubai. She has been tutoring since for over ten years. Director of Shacademy Ltd/The SHAC 2008-2013- creative workshop company offering workshops & tuition sessions. Her focus as a writer reduced her remit of 500 students a week to one to one sessions, building a reputation as a leading international LAMDA tutor working with the International School of Harrow, The Royal Ballet and British Vietnamese School.

Approach:

I always start by encouraging students to use and nurture their imagination. From this point I can steer sessions around specific academic requirements and teach subjects 'up on their feet' through the body not just the mind. I work on visual stimuli, encourage structure in writing, timed writing exercises, free writing and presentation skills should students be required to perform a poem or a speech for a public speaking event. This includes techniques supporting the LAMDA curriculum using the voice, articulation and structure of presentation.
