Experience:

I have over 20 years teaching and tutoring experience from Year 7 - 13. Students thrive with me as I am approachable and understanding of their needs. I will tailor the lesson to suit the evident areas of development for each student. I can train students to prepare meticulously for examination readiness and/or work to generally grow their English capacity. I am also an external examiner and so I fully understand what is required for success and what is rewarded in the examinations.

Approach:

Following an initial discussion with each student, I will ask them to reflect on what they do well currently and to identify their areas for growth. These will be confirmed via the work we do together. I will approach each student individually and ensure that the lesson delivered targets their needs. When I am preparing a student for an examination, for example, a literature paper, I will systematically work through exam technique with students teaching them tips and tricks for success. I will expect students to work hard during our hour together and will, in return, work hard for them.
