MA in Teaching Studies (Mathematics focus).

Experience:

My qualifications include an MA in Teaching Studies with Mathematics Focus, PgDipED in Primary Teaching, BSC in Sport and Exercise Science. I have been teaching for 4 years with experience in years ranging from Year 1 to Year 6. Head of Mathematics at School. Prior to becoming a primary teacher, I was also a swimming teacher for 6 years whilst completing my educational studies. 

Approach:

When teaching Mathematics I aim to use concrete materials to ensure that the children develop a deeper understanding of Mathematical concepts. Once understood, the children that I tutor will then apply these skills to a range of problems and reasoning questions to show they have mastered the concept.
