Experience:

I am a qualified school teacher with 12 years secondary teaching experience in England. I obtained my PGCE in Science and maths at the outstanding department of education at the University of Oxford. I am very passionate about teaching and I am highly committed to ensuring that all students excel by breaking down barriers to learning hindering progress. My aim is to ensure that all the students I teach become more confident in their approach to learning and become skilled problem solvers.

Approach:

I am both a scientist and a teacher of science, my principle strength is my ability to link topics I teach to real life contexts. I am an enthusiastic, approachable and patient tutor who enjoys making science more comprehensible for students. I enjoy delivering a problem based learning approach to tutoring particularly as educational research indicates that its not IQ that determines how well students do in exams but rather extensive practice. Helping students to excel is my primary goal
