Experience:

I have been involved in the field of IELTS preperation and teaching academic English at the BA level for over 17 years, both in Canada and abroad. I hold a Master of Education degree specializing in TESOL. Over the years, I have learned how to engage students in their learning while establishihg an excellent teacher-student rapport. Through my travels, I have developed an understanding for many different cultures and languages, which is essential for my effective teaching methodology.

Approach:

My lessons motivate, support and teach students the necessary skills that will allow them to achieve their personal and professional goals in life. My entire motivation for teaching is based on the fact that I will be an effective teacher who will positively affect my students’ lives. My goal, as a teacher, is to create an environment where students feel comfortable to take risks, learn appropriate social cues and actively engage in their own learning. My strength as a tutor comes from the belief that an incredible amount of learning can take place if a well-trained, dedicated, and passionate teacher is given the opportunity to work feely with his or her students.
