Experience:

After completing my PGDE I taught in the UK for six years before moving to Dubai. I have experience teaching all year groups across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. I have advanced training in early conceptual maths and in delivering literacy interventions, including phonics. Furthermore I have experience in teaching STEM subjects through an interdiciplinary approach. I have experience in teaching English as an additional language and understand the specific needs of those learners.  

Approach:

I am an inspiring, self-motivated and dynamic primary teacher with six years experience teaching the national curriculum. A reflective practitioner, with excellent classroom management skills and a proven record of delivering engaging learning experiences. A sound knowledge and experience working with children with additional support needs, ensuring effective differentiation to allow all learners access to the curriculum. Motivated towards facilitating the development of skills for lifelong learning. I plan progressive long term plans, ensuring cohesive and structured learning. In order to deliver differentiated lessons, to meet the educational needs of each child. I believe that it is vital to work collaboratively with the student's class teacher to ensure there is a consistent approach to learning, for the child. It is important to initially complete a diagnostic assessment to identify any gap in learning that may be hindering progress in a given subject area. This allows for targeted teaching that will engage the child while ensuring they are able to progress successfully in their education.
