Bachelor Education Primary with Major in Mathematics

Experience:

I’m a fully registered teacher in Australia. I am Australian born and raised, I completed all my studies in Australia, completing a Bachelor of Education with a Major in Mathematics. I have extensive experience in providing tutoring one and one and in small group settings. I tutored throughout my university degree and have continued tutoring post completing my university studies.

Approach:

With teaching it is important to understand that each student is unique in their way of learning. Therefore it is vital for the teacher to identify the students way of thinking and learning style and construct targeted lessons to benefit and compliment the students needs. During my tutoring sessions, I conduct a mini assessment to identify students strengths and weaknesses. This guides me to plan effective and meaningful lessons to further strengthen the knowledge and skills and also to provide support to improve of their areas of weakness. The key to successful tutoring sessions I believe is showing patience with the student and a high level of interest in their learning journey.
