B.A. B.Ed Specialist in the field of learning disabilities, ELL specialist

Experience:

I have over twenty five years if teaching elementary and middle school students in a variety of settings. I have taught in Canada, United States, Trinidad and Tobago and am presently teaching in the UAE. I am very adept at teaching grade 6, 7, and 8 science and English. I currently teach Ell students and am adept at helping them with language acquisition.

Approach:

I believe it is important to get to know the strengths and weaknesses of my students. My goal is to help my students succeed academically and to help them to think independently. I use a variety of strategies to help students with their assignments. For example, hands-on activities, text to speech etc. When I plan my lessons I want to make sure that I am teaching to the standards and helping students understand what they are supposed to learn and the tools they need to be successful.
