I enjoy teaching all subjects and am constantly looking for ways to make the lessons stimulating, inclusive and cross-curricular. I believe this allows children to develop skills in a variety of areas and gives opportunities to make learning fun, exciting and purposeful. I communicate clearly and with confidence at all levels. I work hard to build excellent relationships with children, colleagues and parents and consider myself to be caring and approachable.

I am committed to delivering and leading first quality teaching which demonstrates: highly focused lessons designed with sharp objectives; child involvement and engagement with their learning; high levels of interaction for all pupils; appropriate use of teacher questioning; modelling and explaining; an emphasis on learning through dialogue, with regular opportunities for pupils to talk and discuss ideas; an expectation that pupils will accept responsibility for their own learning and work independently with a regular use of encouragement and authentic praise to engage and motivate the child.
