Experience:

I have 3 years of teaching experience from the UK and 1 year teaching abroad. I specialise in the sciences, specifically biology and physics. I will however, be open to teaching what is required by the specific student if I am able to do so.

Approach:

I base my teaching approach on experience in regards to what students ought to know by a specific age. This may require me having to return to teaching more basic concepts and addressing misconceptions prior to teaching specific content. This is because I recognise that a strong foundation will allow for the the learner to apply knowledge more readily in the future. A student being tutored by me will be guided through content with appropriate scaffolding and questioning as to solidify concepts in their minds. Very little rote learning takes place during my sessions as I strongly believe that this ought to be done in the students non-directed time with a paid professional.
