Experience:

Most schools focus heavily on relaying large amounts of information to students yet fail to instill a genuine understanding of the subject. I have little experience in formal teaching yet I am very passionate about the English Language. Having scored over 8.5 in my IELTS Academic exam and being a voracious reader my strengths lie in tutoring in English. That being said, I am well suited to teaching primary and secondary school students in a variety of subjects.

Approach:

My approach will vary depending on my student's specific needs and the learning style which suits him or her the best. On a basic level, I work towards instilling basic concepts, confidence and practicality in my student as soon as possible. For instance I prefer to first focus on simpler areas within a given subject and work up towards more complex areas which is a great confidence building approach. My aim while to teach my student to think for themselves is to enable this process by consistently questioning and providing real life examples to be thorough. Past papers and monthly quizzes are a great way to check, practice and perfect understanding of a subject.
