Experience:

A second-year (IB) student studying mathematics, physics, business management and computer science at higher level. The fields of mathematics and physics are often utmost challenging to most students in secondary school and the essential components for anyone looking to study in the engineering field for university. They are not just about learning the content and equations but understanding the fundamentals of the subject in order to solve any problem which is presented to them.

Approach:

For each tutoring session, I primarily start by creating a preliminary lesson plan such as : | 00:00 | Introduce myself and get to know a bit about the student | 00:05 | Provide him with pre-made questions based on the student's age and grade to identify his current level | 00:10 | Go through the questions which he answered and identify areas of weakness | 00:20 | Start introducing different ways of learning and types of activities to the student to identify his way of learning and the most suitable teaching style for the student | 00:30 | Go through the student's notebook and ask about his areas of weakness in that field giving related tips Etc... It is essential for a student to be comfortable in a learning environment and to therefor enjoy learning. By enjoying learning they will unconsciously want to dedicate more time to learning and understanding the content.
