B..Ed teaching Degree and Masters in Writing & Communications.

Experience:

I have been teaching for 6 years now, and tutoring for all 6 of those years also. I taught in Ireland for 2 years after my degree before taking up a position in a college in the United States for a year. Upon returning home, I taught part-time while studying for my Master's Degree. I find great satisfaction from my job, as it allows me to help someone on a personal basis to achieve their best. Every child should have the best chance to achieve their personal goals.

Approach:

I plan my lessons based on things I have covered before, what the student in question needs and my experience in differentiation. I use activities, comprehension and examples to give a variety of tutoring methods so that the students can concentrate and engage without finding the work monotonous. In terms of my own approach, I encourage at all times whilst always reminding the student that they are always capable of better.
