Experience:

More than content, I teach students how to think critically. As a teacher with eight years of experience, I have realized that relationships and connections are the most important aspects of authentic learning. By connecting content to other academic disciplines and our lived experiences, learning begins to take a stronghold in students' minds as they begin to create such connections for themselves.

Approach:

My tutoring approach is informed by AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) tutoring, which focuses on questioning students to guide them down the path of cognition. Rather than give my students water to drink, I lead them toward the source.
