Experience:

As a British National who was raised in Spain I have a first language fluency in Spanish while also being able to understand the many difficulties which come along with learning the language. Students in need of support for Second language college, As level or A level Spanish students or simply those interested in learning conversational Spanish will find a calm and friendly environment in which they can be supported in their continued development of their Spanish.

Approach:

I favour a relaxed approach to tutoring, through informal conversation we can primarily increase a students confidence in their spoken word and also find the right path of learning based on each student's capabilities and confidence. Once the lessons hit more of a pace lessons could involve 'homework', ranging from making an effort to speak to friends/ oneself in Spanish to writing out and practising difficult sentences and phrases to ensure confidence. Or could only requires lesson based coaching with small reminders each lesson to ensure the students development. To begin any set of Conversational Spanish lessons a focus on level must be maintained, through banal conversation and simply interaction I can focus on what a student needs to improve. Furthermore, should the question of exams appear I am happy to coach students in what to expect and, in compliment to school based instruction (For students), support in the development of relevant ideas and approaches in. For example, a 20 minute spoken presentation on a topic of choice can be constructed rehearsed and proofed in tutoring sessions, all the while improving student confidence in themselves and their abilities.
