Experience:

I have been teaching and tutoring since 2009 in Ireland and I'm looking forward to expanding my experience here in Abu Dhabi. Over the last 11 years I have seen students improve grades and gain confidence in a subject that they had previously found challenging. Tutoring allows students to explore different learning methods and explore a certain subject in a way that is not always possible in the classroom.

Approach:

Planning is essential to any successful lesson. I will work with the student to understand their goals and plan lessons accordingly. For example, is the student preparing for an exam or learning a language for conversation purposes. I believe that patience and understanding are vital characteristics of any tutor, enabling the student to learn in a calming environment. This is necessary to promote confidence in students in the chosen subject which facilitates retention of information.
