Experience:

Science has a reputation for being very technical and extremely stressful for students. My approach is to break down the scientific language and use real-life examples to make these topics more intuitive and less intimidating. I have 5+ years of tutoring experience. My degrees are in Math and Physics from Emory University, with research experience in Biochemistry, Applied math, and Computational Physics. I can cover all hard sciences from elementary to advanced levels.

Approach:

I tutor students with the goal of increasing their mastery and confidence in a given subject, so that eventually they may not need tutoring at all. Science lessons are planned around key ideas, or specific work/test problems that the student wishes to review. The purpose is not to memorize answers, but build foundation knowledge and critical thinking skills that will allow the student to progress. As they develop these skills, students will be able to take on increasingly complex problems in their area of study with greater ease.
