Experience:

I am fully qualified British primary school teacher with a first class degree and 4 years teaching experience. I have taught Year 1, 2 and Early Years Foundation Stage. I believe in the importance of creative and hands-on learning so that children are fully engaged and enjoy the learning process. I can particularly support with phonics to assist reading and writing, alongside mathematics. I can teach your children not only the content but also strategies to embed and broaden their learning.

Approach:

My lessons will be based around the child's prior knowledge and needs. Every child learns differently and I adapt my tutoring to that. I use a range of teaching strategies that are relevant to the age and interest of the children. For the EYES to year 2 age range I keep lessons active and practical to ensure child engagement.
