Experience:

I am dual certified teacher from New York, United States. I obtained a Master Degree in Education for general and special education with classes in STEM and a class for Behavioral. I have tutored for 17 years all ages in all subjects including Enrichment for English, Math, Science, Special Education, Reading, and Gifted Students. My strength is improving students in English, Reading and Writing as well as Math.

Approach:

I like to start my lessons with a warm up to engage the student. Then I like to do an activity together or direct instruction. After, I give responsibility to the student as I facilitate the lesson allowing the student to work independently or with little support. At the end, I like to check the student for understanding of the lesson. Throughout the lesson, I give praise to the student t build confidence. At the end, I ask if their are any questions from the student or parent and talk about the next steps! I have worked with all kinds of students and studied special classes that focus on behavior as well as readiness and learning to adapt my lessons to the child's level and way in which he/she learns. Some learn through audio, some video, some a mix of both, others may learn through hands on. I am and expert at making lessons fit the students needs!
