Bachelor of Education. Post Graduate Degree in International Education.

Experience:

This is my sixth year teaching here in Abu Dhabi. Primary & kindergarten experience. I identify the needs of students and if necessary adapt course content and delivery style to meet their needs. I create lesson plans, review worksheets, and practice tests to prepare students for weekly tests if required. I aim to work in tandem with the work being covered in school in order. Approach:

First thing I do is find out where the student is in their learning and content knowledge. Identify the student's strengths and weaknesses and build a plan to best improve the student from that.  I have taught the Irish, American and British curriculum. I generally speak with the child and parents and plan around what the class teacher has assigned or what is being covered in class. I can provide extra materials if required to extend or scaffold their learning potential.
