Qualification:

PGCE in Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status, Ba (Hons) Theology, Graduate Diploma in Law.

Experience:

I am currently working as a class teacher in year 3 of a premium British primary school in Dubai. Last year I was in the UK where I taught in both year 1 and year 3 classes (ages 5-8). I have previously worked as a learning support practitioner with years 4,5 and 6 (ages 8-11). So I am also very familiar with what is required of students of this age. I love my job, working with children and helping them learn and grow is so fulfilling. I have most experience working with children ages 5-11. However I have tutored an adult lady in the English language, helping her prepare for a business course that she was attending. I also have tutored a secondary school student in sociology for her AS exam, so I have experience of tutoring people of different ages and in different subjects. I completed my IGCSESand IB whilst at school in Spain. I also hold a Theology degree from the University of Nottingham and a Graduate Diploma in Law. 

Approach:

As a primary class teacher I manage the learning needs of up to 30 children across all areas of British curriculum. Sometimes it is necessary to work one on one with children to help further their knowledge and to help them work through anything they are struggling with. Therefore tutoring is an extension of what I do within my day to day job and more importantly of what I enjoy.  I like to meet the student and gauge what it is that they want from me as a tutor and how they like to learn. From this information, I plan my lessons to fit them personally.
