Bachelor of Education with Qualified Teacher Status

Experience:

I have tutored students across all year groups in Primary Education in both one to one and group settings. I have an Honours Degree in Primary Education from St. Mary's University, England in which I achieved First Class Honours. I have four years qualified teaching experience in the English and Irish Education System. I currently teach in an Ofsted Outstanding School in Dubai, therefore having a wealth of experience in teaching all subject areas. I have worked with children with EAL and SEN.

Approach:

I aim to plan lessons that are fun, engaging and personalised for each individual student. I believe students learn best when they enjoy what they are learning. I use a variety of teaching methodologies to ensure I plan lessons to suit the students needs and ensure progression in their learning. I endeavour to create interesting and engaging lessons with clear differentiation and effective assessment in order to enable the student to discover and gain new knowledge. My planning and teaching builds a clear expectation of success and most importantly addresses the key learning objectives essential to aid the students progression and overall development. I break down the learning outcomes into steps and set activities suitable to the students learning pace. I relate all activities to the students interests, which not only engages the student and encourages the student to learn but will also meet their individual needs to enable him/her to reach the full potential of their learning. I will guarantee to be enthusiastic and approachable in order to create a friendly, comforting atmosphere, which fundamentally, will have a positive impact on the students performance and achievement.
