I am a native English speaker from the USA with 18 years of teaching, tutoring, library and technology experience in grades 1-8; including 4 years in Abu Dhabi. I am a certified Media Specialist with endorsements in TESL/TEFL, Elementary Education and technology. Strengths include English, Reading, homework assistance, projects, and exam preparation. My approach is to build independent learners that will become passionate about learning and acquiring knowledge as opposed to memorizing.

Approach:

Initial meeting and assessment of student's ability. Establish learning goals and creating a tailored tutoring session to suit the child's needs with homework, presentations, projects, as well as strategies in reading and math. It is important to equip students with the skills of the 21st century to include critical thinking, collaboration, problem solving, and creativity.
