Experience:

Masters degree in Geography and Secondary Education. Head of Humanities Faculty. Teacher of Geography & Social Studies for Y7-9. Teacher of GCSE and A-Level in Geography and Travel and Tourism. Tutor for 8 years preparing students for GCSE/ A Level examinations. Use formative (continual assessment throughout the tutoring time) and summative assessment (based around building exam skills and techniques). Marker for the exam board and KHDA rated 'Outstanding' examination results.

Approach:

I will meet with your child and access their learning style in order to create a tailor-made plan which suits their requirements. We will work towards set learning targets and I will be happy to liaise with their classroom teacher to ensure specific areas for improvement are targeted. I will help your child understand the structure and requirements of the examination, help them to organise their classwork with my input and apply their knowledge to exam-style questions so they are fully prepared.
