Hello! My name is Genevieve. I graduated from the University of Virginia in the USA with a degree in English. While there I earned the academic honor of Dean's list. I am also TEFL certified. I earned an A upon completion of my TEFL course and earned my Intensive Grammar certification also. I have tutored elementary level students for many years. Finally, I taught English at Mazoon College in Muscat, Oman to over 100 students.

Approach:

As your tutor, I like to take an individualized approach to your learning. I see language as a cohesive entity comprised of five main areas: speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar. Each area is extremely important to becoming fluent in a language. For me, language is about communication. therefore I prefer to work on speaking and listening so that you can communicate well with others. However, I understand that in preparation for standardized exams, you might want to focus on grammar and writing. For one lesson, we will focus on two areas of your choosing. An hour of intensive work with with a teaching qualified and native English speaker will definitely improve your English learning.
