Elementary Education, B.S. with endorsements in Reading and English

Experience:

I have a degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in Reading, ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages), English, (Grades 5-12), and Library Media. I have tutored students with learning difficulties and achieved great results. I have experience working as a reading teacher and librarian. I was previously a teacher/librarian at an IB school using American curriculum for grades KG-to Grade 8. Now I am a teacher/librarian working with grades KG-12. My main strengths are reading, writing, and vocabulary development.

Approach:

I am very structured in my approach to ensure the greatest success. I perform assessments to guide my tutoring sessions on specific needs of the students. Assessments are given throughout to show improvement and to continually guide my lessons. I never merely give the answers. I allow each student to discover their own potential by guiding them to find their own answers.
