Experience:

Experience in engineering, lecturing, teaching, tutoring as well as team mentoring has allowed me to provide exceptionally effective ways of passing on my knowledge. I have taken part in solar car races. I was lead engineer and mentor for a solar team and taught English to children in Turkey. I have designed solar cars and aircraft. I have travelled many countries, so I can not only teach but pass on knowledge with a greater understanding of people from different heritage.

Approach:

In order to pass on knowledge, the student must be provided with a teaching method that interests them, otherwise, the student will not take interest in the lesson or even remember the work needed. I have been told that I always inspire those around me whether it is by showing them what I can do, enabling them to unlock their potential or by inspiring them. For this reason, I tutor/teach in such a way as to link the students' interests and thoughts to the work at hand. For example, if a student of an engineering class is doing maths, and the student enjoys learning how motorbikes work, I will link the mathematics to the operation of motorcycles in some way. My lessons start with noting information about the student/s regardless of the subject taught so that I may analyse and adjust my teaching methods to suit the student or class. The student will then tell me the areas that they are weakest in and in which they are strongest. I will analyse why this is the case and ensure I devise methods of improving both based on why they possess these characteristics. I plan my lessons so as to allow the student time for listening, exercises as well as questions. if the student does not practice what is taught then they will never completely grasp the concepts. In most cases I teach methodologies and concepts and then aid the student to apply these methodologies to any question by fully understanding the concepts. This knowledge aids the student in remembering less information to be able to achieve better results. I will approach each student differently according to their level of knowledge and learning capabilities. I also keep lessons light hearted and fun by sharing my previous experiences in engineering, travelling or general knowledge. My lessons are thus one of a kind.
