Experience:

I am and have always been a good learner. Having completed my masters in Biology and Education, I have had a sucessful carreer in teaching high school and young adults since 2001. I have 17 years experience of teaching biology and chemistry. I have 6 years of teaching environmental studies, using student-centric approach specialised in molecular biology, can prepare students for careers in medicine and biotechnology.

'Good teaching is therefore dynamic, reflective, and constantly evolving" My approach to teaching involves:   Enthusiasm and passion for my subjects and a desire to share it with my students. Ability to modify teaching strategies according to the particular students, subject matter, and learning environment. Encouraging learning for understanding and am concerned with developing my students’ critical-thinking skills, problem-solving skills, and problem-approach behaviors.  I Strive to transform and extend knowledge, rather than merely transmitting it; draw knowledge of a subject and make it understandable to my students. I set clear goals, use valid and appropriate assessment methods, and provide high-quality feedback to my students. Mutual respect is paramount and I am interested in both their professional and their personal growth, encourage their independence, and sustain high expectations of them. My lessons are student-centric lessons. Students are taught how to maximise their potential without having to depend on any external factors. I can understand students needs of learning and prepare lesson accordingly to suit the needs of each and every students in my cohort.
