Experience:

I have been teaching for more than 3 years and have learned to cater to the different needs of my students. I aim to keep learners motivated and try to make learning fun. I studied educational psychology and understand the importance of the holistic development of children.

Approach:

The approach I will use depends on the age of the student. At primary level the learners are in the concrete operational stage of development which is characterized by the development of logical thought. While children this age become more logical about concrete and specific things, they still struggle with abstract ideas. Therefore I aim to give them an oppertunity to work with their hands during problem solving e.g. Use a concrete clock when teaching time. I also try to involve as many senses as possible during teaching to make sure that my students are fully stimulated. I use video's, songs, slideshows, worksheets, online educational games, ec.
