Experience:

My teaching degree is in early years education and I also have a masters degree in teaching and learning. I have taught Key Stage 1 (5-7) for 9 years following the British curriculum.  For the past 2 years I have also tutored children aged 4-11 in various subjects. I base my targets of the sessions on what is required from individual children and families and have recently worked with children including focusing on catch up sessions to ensure they exceed the expectations for their age and gifted and talented children. Lots of my previous tutoring work has involved supporting children who are finding certain aspects of learning difficult to boost their confidence and skills in specific areas.

Approach:

When tutoring I like to make my sessions as fun and engaging for children as possible and take a more play based approach with younger children.
