Experience:

I am a British female, fluent in English with experience in private tutoring. I am approachable and friendly so both child and adult will feel at ease with me. As a teacher, I push my students to reach their maximum potential. Other than English, I also tutor Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. While studying for BSc Honours Biomedical Science, I tutored university and high-school students chemistry, biology and maths.

Approach:

As a teacher, I am aware that what works for one student will not work for another, therefore I tailor my tutoring style to match that of the individual. Of course, basics are important without which successful improvement can-not be made. Praise, repetition and encouragement are key factors in learning. As I am from the United Kingdom, just listening to a native speaker will improve your English. Furthermore I believe a tutor is there to work together with the student as opposed to being a dictator. Techniques I use include games, role play, quizzes to ensure students enjoy and feel motivated in their learning.
