Experience:

My valuable tutoring experience began in Switzerland where I taught English as a Additional Language. I continued my tutoring on into my teacher training year as I trained in the PGCE from the Institute of Education in London. It was then I began specialising in my degree subject Geography with some Mathematics. I found it so rewarding that continued external tutoring sessions throughout my teaching career focusing on getting students prepared for both GCSE and A-Level examinations.

Approach:

My enthusiasm for the learning, assertive teaching style and positive outlook has made me an approachable and well-respected teacher and tutor. The result of this is an enriching learning environment that supports high standards, where the children are responsive and keen to contribute. The tutor sessions are bespoke and completely adapted to meet the particular needs of the students. Application of critical thinking skills is consistently encourage and the facilitation of learning will take place rather than a spoon fed approach. To ensure students are engaged and accessing the learning a range of fun educational tasks will be given which incorporate independent learning and deeper thinking skills.
