Experience:

I am currently teaching Grade 10, 11 and 12 English. I have been a teacher for 9 years. My degree is in English and my masters is is Education. I have tutored students in my home country, England, at high school level and college as well as exam preparation. Here in the UAE I have tutored Emirati and non-Emirati students from Grade 2 all the way to an adult studying for IELTs.

Approach:

I have tutored for a range of curricula and schools and will adapt my techniques to suit what you are studying. For the Grade 2 students, I tutored, I planned a range of learning activities, such as reading comprehensions, kinaesthetic phonics games and much more. My student was weak in spelling in particular, and after my techniques, he improved from gaining 2 or 3 out of 20 on spelling quizzes to 18 or 19 out of 20. For my IELTS student, I made sure to do many practice exams to ensure she was ready for her exam, and she achieved a 6.5 after my tutoring.
