Qualified Teacher, Master of Educational Psychology.

Experience:

I have a degree in teaching and a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology. I have 5 years experience working in education.. Through my Psychology degree, I have a deep understanding of how children learn and I use this understanding of the Psychology of Learning to take a positive re-enforcement attitude towards students learning. I vary my approach from student to student and build my lessons to cater for each individual student and their individual needs.

Approach:

I vary my lesson plans to cater for each student. I believe that each student learns in different ways. I carry out lessons through a variety of methods but the most important aspect of my teaching is the use of positive re-enforcement when it comes to learning. Children must never be afraid of being viewed as less than intelligent and if your child is not achieving in the classroom it may be that they need to be taught material through a more visual method or on a one to one basis where time can be taken to break the material down in order to reconstruct their understanding of the subject-this is often not possible in the classroom. No two children are the same so why should each child be expected to learn and flourish academically by the use of a one size fits all method when it comes to education. Not only can I provide your child with the support they need to reach their full potential I can also help your child with their social development if needed.
