B.Sc sport and exercise science. PGCE primary school education

Experience:

Over the past 5 years I have spent a lot of time in education. I previously volunteered at schools during my spare time at university helping in teaching and giving extra help to students. I carried out my PGCE - post graduate certificate in education. Alongside this I tutored and spent time in a variety of different schools - substitute teaching in both primary and secondary schools. I have several sports coaching qualifications alongside many teaching strategies to suit different individuals.

Approach:

When planning my lessons I tend to try and measure a base level first to ensure I am starting at the correct level. Trying to make lessons hands on and fun are the way I like to do things as this is a better way to learn I have found - if something is more enjoyable it's often easier to remember and then the skills is learnt a lot faster and is easier to recall.
