Qualified Secondary English teacher with IB training

Experience:

I have been trained as a secondary English teacher in England and have been teaching for three years so far. I moved to Abu Dhabi last year and I am currently working in an International Baccalaureate school. I am usually a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher with a love of both language and literature. I invest a lot of time in enabling my students to express their ideas correctly and specifically in their writing and their speech.

Approach:

Lessons are planned based on inquiry learning as this is how they are taught in International Baccalaureate schools. This means that the student takes responsibility for their own learning under my guidance. I make my lessons as fun and engaging as possible to interest my students. I am also very interested in developing vocabulary and structure so students can be confident in their ability to communicate.
