Experience:

I was born, educated and trained as a Primary School Teacher in the UK. I studied  BA (Hons) Primary Education degree specialising in Early Years Education at Manchester Metropolitan University. Throughout my studies I worked in both private and public Early Years settings and Primary Schools (ages 4-11). After completing my teacher training I taught in a Primary School before moving to the UAE in 2016.  Since moving to the UAE, I have taught in KG 1 and 2 and Grade 1 classrooms as well as provided extra tuition.  Throughout my teaching practice I have always had a passion for teaching early reading and writing skills.  I am familiar with both the British and American curriculum and many phonic programmes. 

Approach:

I am a passionate teacher who believes that successful learning happens when a child is encouraged to think for themselves, feels supported and is comfortable in their learning environment. I value one-to-one teaching as it allows me to build good relationships with students. I make it my aim to ensure that teaching and learning is suited to their learning style and personal interests to make learning more enjoyable and meaningful to them.
