Experience:

While studying for my Bachelor of Education, (2008-2011), worked part-time as a tutor for students ages 6-12 years. I worked for 1 year as a Learning Support Teacher. I taught children (ages 8-12) individually or in small groups of 2/3. I worked closely with their respective Home-Room Teachers to create Individual Educational Plans for each student. I spent 2 years in Bahrain, working as a Grade 2 Home-Room Teacher. In August 2015, I moved to Abu Dhabi where I teach Kindergarten.

Approach:

I am a very organised and creative person. Through continuous assessment of each student, I am able to efficiently pinpoint their level of ability. I use real-world examples to connect the learning content to the students own interests. I enjoy researching fun and interesting ways to teach a specific topic or learning objective. Through patience and careful planning, I have always succeeded in finding an effective methodology that gets through to the student. I cater for a range of learning styles in my lessons, experimenting until I find what works best for that individual student.
