Experience:

I am an educator with 5 years of tutoring experience. I work well with students individually or in a group.I share a unique relationship with students that makes them feel supported and cared for. I focus on the areas they find difficult,revision,assignments and exam prep. My lessons include a introduction,actual activity and a closing phase. If there is any homework, students and I can spend time tackling it. I use student centered learning, active participation and problem solving in my teaching.

Approach:

My lessons are a one on one, making sure students gets all my attention as this helps to understand and work better. I use 6 levels in my tutoring that is: remembering, understanding ,applying ,analyzing ,evaluating and creating ,as this increases students level of thinking. My lessons are based according to what students find difficult in their class moving on to revision, assessment, homework and exam preparation. I plan each lesson according to students abilities. In my tutoring I help students regain their confidence in their work where they will enjoy doing their class work instead of finding difficulties. I always go that extra mile in making sure my students get the best out of my tutoring by making them understand. I make sure my students always has a positive attitude towards work. My teaching style is student centered learning, active participation and problem solving rather than passive learning. I use a self evaluation checklist for my students to answer, on how well they did on a specific day so that they could improve each day. I use reward and appraisal in my lessons encouraging students to always do better. This helps students gain confidence and to always strive higher. I am a diverse tutor, as I have no problems teaching all cultures and religions. My motto is to always make students a valuable component in society.
