Experience:

I believe in a holistic teaching methodology where the teacher’s role is to facilitate the children’s learning, with both parties working towards a mutual educational goal. My ideal classroom would be one in which the children are actively learning through play and hands-on experiences. These relevant and meaningful experiences would enhance communication and language skills which are vital for all subject areas.

Approach:

I plan my lessons according to the child's needs. I would first work with the child and elicit form them what they know already. I would then be able to plan my lessons around the child's ability. I believe tutoring needs to be fully interactive where the child is engaged in hands on activities. Lessons will be well structured with hands on activities and materials.
