Experience:

I have a CELTA certification from London and I have taught many students before in English as a second language as well as other subjects during my time in University in Al Ain and currently at ES Dubai institute. I have experience with all ages and with many different subjects as I also taught many students within my own university who could not understand the language of the teacher and their siblings in their school subjects. I also have many years experience teaching exam preparation.

Approach:

I believe firmly that students learn better by doing the work in the classroom rather than just listening to the teacher. I try to plan activities for lessons as much as possible so that students can practice the language in another way than just copying over and over again. My classes are student-centered and I adapt my lessons to my students and their learning types as it is important to not to do lessons that they do not enjoy or feel helps them to learn the lesson topic. For those who are learning English as a second language, I believe it is imperative that speaking is a main focus within a classroom setting as a language is only really learned through the practice of actually using it in conversation much like we learned our own native lnaguages.
