Experience:

I have spent the last two years tutoring children aged between 4-12 in Dubai. Before this I tutored English for 5 years in my own home Country, Ireland.

Approach:

I have worked as a mainstream classroom teacher in Ireland and Dubai, and in these positions have succeeded in building a stimulating and inclusive learning environment for all of the pupils in my care. Like in the classroom, I provide this in environment in my tutoring classes. As you will see from my enclosed CV I also have experience of working with children with special educational needs, and children for whom English is their second language. I pride myself in using a wide range of resources, including ICT to deliver engaging lessons which support the learning of all pupils, regardless of ability. I have proven in my current role that I can monitor and assess progress in pupils, and can communicate learning needs sensitively to parents by establishing effective communication and building professional two-way relationships.
