Qualification:

Bachelor of Science (1st class) with Education degree and Masters Level degree in Science from the University of Limerick, Ireland.

Experience:

I have a 1st Class Hons B.Sc. (Physics and Biology) and Education degree as well as a Masters in Science and many years experience teaching and tutoring at both secondary and university level in Physics, Biology and General Science.

Approach:

I use technology to maximize the effectiveness of my lessons and help students to continue with the learning after the session has ended. I have prepared video screencasts, practice questions and other resources which I make available to students to ensure that learning continues after each session has ended. I also provide live recordings of the lesson itself so that students can return to the material and go back over it at their own pace, allowing them to focus on understanding and asking me questions while they have access to me rather than racing to write down notes that they may not understand at the end of the lesson.
