Experience:

I have worked with students with learning disabilities and have taught as young as six to as old as 18. While each student is different, I make sure they are comfortable and actually excited to learn! Whether history or English, I try to make the subject fun. During my time in university, I also worked as a teaching assistant, so I have the patience to find out what exactly each student needs to succeed and to see a significant improvement in their work!

Approach:

I find it very important to learn what exactly my student is struggling to grasp in terms of his/her material. I ask them what they are struggling with then observe them closely, reading over their previous work and doing some activities with them to see what else is prohibiting them from achieving the results they want. What makes my lessons special is that I make the lesson plans fun! Study guides, models, whatever style of teaching they need for it to stick.
