Experience:

I have substantive experience as an educator in the United States for six years and going on my fourth year of robust experience teaching local students here in the United Arab Emirates. I was a Master Teacher/Leader /Researcher, Miami Dade County Schools, Florida 2007-2013 . I currently work at a prestigious educational organization in Abu Dhabi with a student body comprised of UAE nationals where I have taught Mathematics to grades 4-7.  My educational qualifications include a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction (summa cum laude) from the University of Florida, USA. A Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications (summa cum laude) from Lee University, USA. My professional qualifications include K-6 Elementary Education certification (State of Florida Department of Education), K-12 Exceptional Student Education certification, (State of Florida Department of Education) and English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) endorsed. 

Approach:

Lessons are presented based on student need and take into account a student's learning style and comfort with learning. They may incorporate technology based on available resources, practical real world application and a focus on student critical thinking. Instruction is relaxed and paced according to student feedback and is hands on.
