| Approach | Approach: I've travelled and taught in the USA, England, Abu Dhabi and now Dubai. I combine my adventurous, enthusiastic sporting approach with disciplined, motivational and happy environment that has always created an inspirational classroom. I give a lot in my teaching and I often find that in sharing our individual personal goals we learn faster, attain better results and it becomes much more fun and high achieving. I am currently teaching in FS1 at Safa British School, Dubai. Working in such a multi-cultural environment is exciting, refreshing and I'm learning an enormous amount in working in a diverse culture. My experience of teaching in a variety of environments (including the Middle East) has enabled me to develop a range of practical and teaching skills. I am able to manage challenging behaviour effectively, be creative with resources and communicate with people from diverse backgrounds, bridging language barriers. I always ensure that my expectations of children�s behaviour are high, consistent and fair ensuring all children are fully aware of these. I am very creative and enjoy sourcing materials that make learning interesting. Furthermore, my ability to work well with others, motivate and inspire is a very significant contribution that I am confident I can bring to children. I have taught across foundation stage, KS1 and lower KS2. I have an embedded understanding of teaching, learning and assessment. Collaborative working, effective communication, passion and commitment are at the forefront of my practice. I believe these to be essential skills required not only as a leader, but also as an educator. My detailed planning practice ensures I provide consistent, accessible and exciting learning opportunities for all children. I believe that an effective learning environment, which recognises and facilitates for every child�s needs enables every child to reach their full potential. I strongly believe that I deliver a broad, balanced, creative curriculum which supports each child's educational, social and personal progress. I consider an exciting and innovative curriculum to be invaluable for providing children with a good primary education. I fully support a creative cross curricular approach. I am a reflective teacher who constantly strives to improve standards of teaching and learning. I have undertaken every opportunity that I have been given to enhance my professional development as I am keen to constantly improve my skills to in turn raise the standards and attainment of every child. I believe that as a teacher, you are always learning and improving your practice to suit the needs of the children in your care and any new initiatives that are created.
