Post Graduate Certificate in Education (Primary teaching), English, Maths, Science, Phonics.

Experience:

Graduating as a class teacher from the University of Warwick- a well established university in England, I have been teaching for over 8 years, teaching accross primary ages in England, in Abu Dhabi and currently teaching in an outstanding school in Dubai. Previously I had experiences in both FS1 and FS2. I am a passionate and creative teacher and ensure that I plan and deliver high quality lessons to provide all children with the opportunity to make the progress that they are capable of. I have tutored both in England, Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Approach:

I am an enthusiastic and approachable teacher. I enjoy teaching and learning and enjoy seeing children make progress as a result of my teaching. My friendly and caring nature helps me to build trusting and supportive relationships with the children that I work with, helping children to make progress at a quicker rate. I believe in a practical approach to teaching. I try to ensure that this pedagogy is reflected in my planning and teaching. I firmly believe the more enjoyable the experience, the more we learn. I am able to build strong, positive and trusting relationships with children and parents. My personal aim is to continue to promote a love of learning, a curiosity for learning new experiences and instill confidence and self-belief in children so that they become aware that with commitment, ambition and resilience comes personal success. Having taught across Foundation stage and Key Stage 1 and also having experience in KS2, I have an embedded understanding of teaching, learning and assessment and the best ways to promote educational achievement.
