Experience:

1 year tutoring experience in UAE In the UK, I taught all subjects of the curriculum at KS2 and GCSE level (High school) In UAE I am teaching math, English, ICT and art, social studies and science through the PYP curriculum to ESL/ELL children aged 5-7. I prepare and set up hands on experiences for my class, the children’s abilities are varied and so my planning, lessons, worksheets, activities, enhanced and continuous provisions/ areas incorporate this.

Approach:

I use a lot of hands on activities during my lessons, adapted to children's needs. I make my own resources to suit the children that I am tutoring's interests and ability. I want children to look forward to their tutor session and not see it as a boring homework lesson. I like to play games and build upon any instruction that has come from child's teacher.\ I ensure that my lessons include all VARK learning styles (Visual, Aural, Read/write and Kinaesthetic.) I pride myself on building and maintaining brilliant and professional relationships with my pupils as this enables me to foresee understanding in lessons when planning.
